More about usFAQs
Common questions
Are you Gas Safe registered?
Yes. Aspect Heating and Plumbing is a Gas Safe registered company, so we can legally work on gas boilers, cookers, fires and pipework. Ask to see the engineer's Gas Safe ID card when we arrive, and you can check any registration on the Gas Safe Register website.
Which areas do you cover?
We are based in Newbury and cover West Berkshire and Reading, including Thatcham, Hungerford, Greenham, Cold Ash, Kintbury, Hermitage, Lambourn, Theale, Tilehurst, Pangbourne, Burghfield and Tadley. If you are just outside that, ring us and ask.
Do you charge for a quote?
No. For boiler installations, bathrooms and bigger heating jobs we come out, look at what you have and give you a written quote with no charge and no pressure. For breakdowns and repairs we tell you the call-out cost before we come.
Can you come out for an emergency?
Yes. For a boiler that has stopped, a leak or no hot water, ring 07570 816746 and we will get to you as quickly as we can, often the same day. If you smell gas, ring the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 first.
How often should my boiler be serviced?
Once a year. A yearly service keeps the boiler running safely and efficiently, catches small faults before they turn into breakdowns, and most manufacturers need it to keep the warranty valid.
Do you do landlord gas safety certificates?
Yes. We carry out the annual gas safety check landlords are legally required to have on every gas appliance, flue and the pipework, and issue the certificate the same day. We can remind you each year when the next one is due.
What are your opening hours?
Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and Saturday 9am to 1pm. For urgent problems outside those hours, ring us anyway.
